Traffic and blogs

Blogs by there very nature tend to get allot of traffic after a while with great content and information. Seo ( Search engine optimization) does effect your blog and does effect everything on the internet and while Seo is very important anyone can do it as long as you take the time to learn some steps you need to take to get your blog on the first few pages of google. getting on the first page of Yahoo or bing isn't as important as getting on the first page of google, because google holds almost 70% of search traffic and is vital to get you on your way to 1000 site visits per day. A simple way to start off is to change your blog title and post title around, because by default your blog title will be displayed first which isn't good Seo. Here is an example if your blog title was (Allaboutblogs) and your post title was (waystoget1000sitevisitsperday) and another post title like (10blogtipsfortraffic) by default it appears like this

Allaboutblogs: waystoget1000sitevisitsperday

(discription here)

Allaboutblogs: 10blogtipsfortraffic

(discription here)

This means anytime someone search's for things and if your blog was so to appear they would always see Allaboutblogs first no matter what you name your post title and people tend to think all your pages are the same, but what you want to do is switch it around to look like this...

Waystoget1000sitevisitsperday│Allaboutblogs

(discription here)

or

10blogtipsfortraffic│Allaboutblogs

How to make the switch

Be very careful because I have seen allot of people tell others how to make your post title appear first, but yet they give you the wrong codes to do it and they often forget about the alt code.

First find this part in your html, In blogger you can find your html scripts in (layout then edit html)

<Title><data:blog.pagetitle/></title>

Then replace it with

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == &quot;index&quot;'>
<title><data:blog.title/></title>
<b:else/>
<title><data:blog.pageName/> | <data:blog.title/></title>
</b:if>

There you are done, now wait and watch the traffic roll in, but remember this change can take a few days. Do not worry if you don't see the change right away as it takes google a few days to update the change (also depending) on how much google crawls your site.

Also in case you are wondering how to make the (symble │) - it is not a L or an I

you hold down alt on your keyboard and on your right hand side number panel type 124 while holding the alt key.

Just remeber this takes a few days and always save your template so if a mistake is made you can fix it. Every one who has a blog should make this change and as so many people don't know how to do this why not share this hub with all your friends and the world. I hope this helps thank you for reading
