Blog traffic

Why does my blog not get any traffic? easy because blogs work like relationships. People read blogs because either they are interesting or interested in a topic or they are looking for information and even if they do not know it yet. Do you like to have relationships with people that are dull, boring and bring little or nothing to the table? of course not. Blogs are no different and should have dominating eye opening content that draws your readers attention. you want your readers to be on the same level as you are, and yes that is where you want your readers to be because your readers are just like you, think of all the web pages you have ever visited, now remember the ones you liked and why.

What they don't want you to know

Your blog may not be getting any traffic because you might be looking in the wrong places, (meaning) you have come searching for ways to get more traffic to your blog, but 99% of the pages you read sound great yet implementing there advice is difficult and doesn't work the way they say it does. There i a very good reason why, because nothing beats trial and error and people who freely give advice and are successful bloggers know this because they went through it.

There is a million and one ways to get traffic to your blog like

Social sites, ppc, article writing, a team for friends to promote your blog, craigslist, rss feeds, word of mouth, other forms of paid advertising, search engines, and so on!

They are all good ways to get traffic to your blog fast, but will your traffic stay is another question. Will you get repeat visitors from these traffic source's is hard to say and relies on a few things like, the quality of your content right down to the design of your site and your style of writing and the effort you put in.

Trial, error and your blog

So you have tried all the traffic techniques you could find yet your blog is still unpopular or lacking the traffic goals you have set? well get your head out of the dirt and STOP thinking of what you did wrong and focus on what you can do right. You are going to make mistakes, YOUare going to crawl through the dirt before you come out clean, and if by some chance you don't believe in mistakes please submit your self to (scientific study)

Understand blogs or even websites in most cases do not get well known for a very long time, so if your blog is fairly new, as in less then 6 months old, don't expect to hit gold because its very unlikely.

It would be easy for me to only provide ways to get traffic to your blog, but then this would be like the million other pages you nodoubtably have read, without telling you (the reader) that it's a long process that often results in frustration. I have faith that everyone can do this as its not rocket science but do you have the faith in yourself to make it happen.

Many of you may be thinking (ugh! I have already put so much work into my blog whats the point in pointing more effort in) The point is, if you have come searching for ways to improve your blog either to make money from your blog or to get your blog popular, you are already putting effort in and are on the right track.

3 steps you have to go through

1. Trial

Finding what is going to work for your blog is almost impossible! because we are not you and our style is different from yours. So be yourself and always write what your passionate about and never make a blog on a topic you care nothing about as it will show. This step takes time, a long time and it cannot happen over night. Only you can find out what is going to work for you because Traffic doesn't result in more sales or followers

2. Mistakes

This is not a bad thing even though it may sound funny because without making mistakes how would you know what your doing with your blog is right? Don't get caught up in others success stories because they made mistakes too that they just don't tell anyone about, just so they can look perfect in the public eye.

3. Learn

You have gone through the trial and even realized some mistakes you have made along he way, now you have the chance to learn from them and grow.

Traffic sources

Below are some ways to get traffic to your blog, just remember the traffic that you will get from these sources may do nothing for your blog if you haven't taking the time to understand how people interact with your site. Great page layout, mind basting content and the ability to draw your readers attention away from what they were doing to only focus on your blog can be tricky, but if you put your time and effort in, you will soon figure out what works for you and your readers
